Student Stipends

Stipends to support PhD students attending EUROISMAR 2019 will be available.

PhD students in all years of their study are eligible, as long as they have not yet defended their thesis by the time they attend EUROISMAR 2019.

All areas of research pertaining to magnetic resonance, from theoretical studies to specific applications, are welcome.

Applicants from all nationalities, affiliations, and genders are welcome.

Application process

Students interested in applying for a stipend must submit an abstract to EUROISMAR 2019 on a project that they are personally involved in.

Students should indicate their intention to be considered for a stipend during abstract submission.

Furthermore, applicants should send the following documents, formatted as a single PDF file, to Ms Andrea Steuer:

  • CV (no more than 3 pages)
  • List of publications, if any (up to 2 pages)
  • A copy of the abstract submitted to EUROISMAR 2019.

Please note that there will be no reminders for those who have indicated their intention to be considered for a stipend, but not submitted the documents required before the deadline.

For the purposes of stipend selection, the deadline for abstract submission, as well emailing the supporting documents listed above, is 31 May 2019 at 23:59 Berlin time (Central European Summer Time).

Selection and communication of decisions

Selection will be based on scientific merit and carried out by the scientific committee.

We will endeavour to notify all successful applicants by 20 June 2019, more than 2 weeks prior to the closing of regular registration.

However, we strongly encourage all students to register before 30 April 2019 to take advantage of the early bird discount.
